Administrative Work

Purpose:

To support HomeFront staff by assisting with clerical duties. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes such things as filing, typing and data entry, stuffing envelopes, answering telephones, photocopying and faxing


Commitment Requirements:

Schedule varies. During peak periods, volunteers can expect regular hours. In slower periods hours may be infrequent.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Good communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Competency with basic office computer skills
  • Confidentiality

 

 

Orientation and Training:  

Administrative volunteers will receive a general orientation to HomeFront and duties needing assistance.

 

Supervision:  

Administrative volunteers are supervised by the Manager of Fund Development and Administration. 

 

Security Requirements:  

A Police Information Check (PIC through CPS) and Intervention Record Check (Alberta Children’s Services) are required.
