Partner Support Program
Partner Support Program (PSP) provides victims of domestic violence whose (ex)partners are under community supervision (probation) with information regarding community resources and support. The goal of the program is to support the victim by increasing their level of safety and encouraging them to pursue their capacity to change in their own and their children's best interests.
With program referrals as high as 100 per month, the impact of PSP's new ability to provide services over a broader span of day and evening hours has enabled the program to tailor its services to client needs and availability. This development, together with increased capacity to deliver multi-lingual services has resulted in reduced barriers to client participation and has also created greater opportunities for a more hands-on advocacy role with clients through more seamless relationships and contacts with community partners such as Probation, Children's Services and an increasingly broad range of other community resources.

"The number one partnership we have is between our domestic conflict unit and HomeFront. They are our homicide prevention unit. Their intervention saves lives, it saves families, it saves people."
- Calgary Chief of Police Rick Hanson
