Every year, at least one-quarter of Calgary's homicides are domestic in nature, ranking our city as having one of the highest rates of domestic homicides in Canada.

In 2009, the cost of a single domestic violence homicide response was $1.7 million. Based on our 5-year goal to serve an additional 23,000 individuals, the cost for HomeFront's intervention and protection services is just slightly more than $526.00 per individual.

HomeFront's goal to raise a total of $12.1 million over five years allows our frontline experts in the Early Intervention & Outreach, Court Casework and Partner Support programs to assist in transforming the lives of individuals currently without HomeFront's protection and assistance.

With your help, over the next five years HomeFront can achieve our goals by getting to the root of the issue through expansion of our intervention and prevention services. Without your support, HomeFront will not be able to address the need or deliver the level of service excellence our citizens and community deserve.
